About Us
Big Kids Project was founded in 2010 with the goal of helping “one kid at a time.”
Our plan was to raise money, collect data and hit the ground running, helping kids as many kids as we could possibly reach.
Unfortunately, the childhood obesity epidemic exploded at a rate none of us could have imagined. We quickly realized we needed a more aggressive plan.
It Takes a Village
Due to the magnitude of this crisis, Big Kids Project now takes a two-prong approach:
We fund major medical institutions like The Mayo Clinic and other non-profits who share our mission; and
We partner with local community outreach programs to provide nutritional education to kids and parents, emphasizing the importance of healthy eating and regular exercise for the entire family.
“Our mission, at its core, is to save kid’s lives.
We must act now before we lose an entire generation.”
— Dave Delaney, Founder of Big Kids Project
